Has anyone got DOSBox working yet, if so can they explain how as I have edited the config files and everything but no games or even DOSBox.gpe just shows black screen then goes back to menu?

ZodTTD is playing around with a dynamic recompiler for DosBox. This might help to speedup

i think if you have it set up properly it brings you to a command prompt and launches the game from there. haven't used it in a while, but check the wiki and give it another shot. it's a little tougher to set up than other software. have you tried it with a game though? put the game in its own folder, and make sure you make a dosbox config file and a keymap file for that game, then run a script that launches dosbox with those files as arguments.

If you want to emulate an old PC then try VMWare, it works better than DOSBox.

It works but its pretty much useless.

Naaa, it's not. You can play Alter Ego with it, as long as it doesn't work on any C64 emulator, it's better than nothing

It's far better than nothing. I can even play Sid Meier's Colonization on my GP2X!
