Equivalent to SysRq REISUB?

The (alt)-SysRq-REISUB combination is my best friend on my laptop when things hang. On the Pandora, there is no SysRq key, and so there is no REISUB.

REISUB is important because it cleans everything up and syncs/unmounts filesystems before restarting.

Does the Pandora's reset function do this, or does it just immediately quit everything?

If the latter, is there a way to add this sort of functionality?

Hold the power switch to the right for about 4 or 5 seconds. That generates a shutdown interrupt which, assuming the system hasn't so completely hung that it can't even handle an interrupt (in which case syncing filesystems would probably be useless anyway), will proceed with a normal cleanup and shutdown.

You can tell if it has hung beyond recovery by holding the power switch for 8 seconds: if it is functioning correctly, the interrupt is caught after 4 seconds and goes through a normal shutdown; if it has frozen beyond recovery, the interrupt will not be caught, and an additional 4 seconds (8 seconds total) will force the charge circuit to just cut the power. This 8 second shutdown functionality is hardware based so will always work even if the CPU is completely frozen.

Thanks, Stan!

Even though a reboot may be done cleanly that way, it would still be nice, if we'd have access to SysRq functioality. Isn't there a way to map some certain key combinatio to hte SysRq function?
