Release Firefox 21 in repo

I know it's a lot faster when you delete the appdata folder but I don't want to lose my passwords and history.

... and plugins and their settings! Would be good to know if there are specific files or folders that might cause problems and can be safely removed, though ...

FF22 is out :)

hdonk, waiting for you :)
Tested on my PC (I usualy browse with Opera), the new Firefox seems indeed pretty fast when it comes to html5 stuff and such, the Epic Citadel WebGL demo is now perfectly fluid compared to older Firefox Versions. I guess it still won't run onto the Pandora but maybe there are also benefits for normal website loading and speedups. ^^

Do you really want to bring a child into a world where it might not have access to the latest Firefox version?? DO YOU?! ;)

WHAM! There it is!

It is stable, it is the latest version, it is on my Pandora. Thanks, hdonk!

I don't think so, usually the plugin is installed when installing Java on your system ... "You need a Plugin"-links only point you to the Oracle webpage ...

(And I can't find it in the Addons-search)

Thanks for the build, hdonk. Us Firefoxers are indebted to you.

I seem to have an issue with it that I get booted straight back to the desktop whenever I access a page with a youtube video on it, such as the opanpandora main page. I've wiped out the appdata etc. Anybody else having problems?

I'll check the PNDOUT when I can.

Okay, when I get Firefox 22 to crash, it adds the following line to the pndout:

./bin/firefox: symbol lookup error: /mnt/utmp/hdonk_firefox_001/lib/firefox-22.0/libxul.so: undefined symbol: gst_element_factory_list_get_elements
[ FAILED]--- Starting the application ( firefox.sh  ) ----------
Not sure what's going on, but any site that has a youtube video produces the crash.

Looks like it's the gstreamer libs causing the problems. I'm trying a webgl build then i'll do one without gst.

By the way hdonk, can you clarify a command line that works to launch firefox ?

for example, how to I call firefox.pnd and ask it to display http://boards.openpandora.org for example ?
http://pandorawiki.org/Pnd_run.sh

-a args : Arguments to the command

So if you want to open the URL just ->

pnd_run.sh -p /media/SD1/pandora/menu/Chromium.pnd -e "chrome.sh" -b "chromium" -a "http://boards.openpandora.org"

Customize that for Firefox and you are ready to go.

Have fun! (and don't forget to escape if you have whitespace and so on)
