Frodo2x 0.9.6 is available now from http://gp2x.org/gp2x/frodo/

Changes in this release:

* Added thumbnail screenshots when browsing snapshots
* New option to reverse controls - use A,B,X,Y as joypad
* Hardware scaled screen option to see the full borders
* Fixed volume control
* Snapshots now named sequentially
* Fixed crash with unreadable zip files
* Files can now be browsed faster with joypad left/right
* Now running in pure 8 bit mode with double buffering

Thanks to Rlyeh and RobB for code and advice.

Nice! Reading stuff like this and not having a unit is really starting to freaking me out though ;)

thanks snaff :)

i'm so hopefully looking forward getting my gp2x this week.
i can't wait to try this one out. it seems to become better and better.

Great stuff, I just got frodo working probably when I installed the new firmware. More C64 fun.

First, HUGE thanks for Frodo. This and UAE are the MAIN reasons I got a GP2x - and its much appreciated.

I'm having troubles loading old EA games (namely Legacy of the Ancients). I've tried 1541 emulation (this usually fixes them in other emulators) but this still fails. Any thoughts or help appreciated.

Again, than you SO MUCH for this!

Does this mean you've used the hardware scaler chip in the gp2x? I thought nobody knew how to use it yet?

The simple purpose I've used it for isn't difficult. Probably the issue is not that people don't know how to use it but rather that support for it is not built into the gp2x sdl library yet. Frodo's not using sdl any more so that's not a problem for me.
