Hi all. I just recently got a Pandora off of ebay, and I'm trying to get some emulators to work. I'm trying to get mame4all or Panmame to work but both start up then crash. I read in forums that you need to install certain hotfixes to get them to work. Thing is mine already came installed with the recent superzaxxon, not original zaxxon. On a wiki it warns not to install hotfixes if you have superzaxxon, or else the system will malfunction. I have mame ex but the games run way to slow, even the older ones. Is there anything I can do to get mame4all or panmame to work on superzaxxon, or do I need the original zaxxon with the correct hotfix?

Mame4all didn't work under earlier betas of SuperZaxxon, but works (or at least, runs) under beta5a and the current Final one. Maybe check that you aren 't running an earlier beta?

Both Mame4all and PanMame should start in SuperZaxxon Final with the default (new) 3.2 kernel - but, at least for me anyway, there can be some odd behaviour* in both, so they are probably still best run by booting into the old kernel.

*In my case - not all my Roms showing up in either if I've booted with the 3.2 kernel

Cool I was able to get Mame4all to work under the old kernal :) . I'm having trouble getting the latest superzaxxon to work though. I have extracted the file and put it in the main directory of my sd card, but nothing shows up when I boot the system. Any ideas?

^ Try holding the right shoulder button whilst powering up the Pandora. This should get you a boot-menu that will let you reflash it with the newest OS release. :)

What is "the main directory" ?

Where I have my Pandora folder. Does the superzaxxon file need to go into the apps folder for you to see it on the boot up menu?

The .pnd have to be in SD /pandora/menu/

In order to upgrade the firmware, you have to put the files directly at the root of the SD card, and while powering on, keep R button pushed. Then select "boot from SD1".

Alright awesome got it to work :) . Thank you all! Just one last question. What romset does panmame use?

Well, i'm more a sudo modprobe ehci-hcd specialist, but i can manage both.
