Does it neccesarily be round based? Alundra is a great game, but not round based.

My favourite game of all time might I add.

Can't go wrong with Finally Fantasy VII, Skies of arcadia is also worth a look.

final fantasy games (especially 8 :D )
xenosaga episode I (haven't beaten it yet so I haven't gotten 2)
lunar silver star story complete
legend of dragoon
xenogears
skies of arcadia
Breath of fire series
kingdom hearts (not turn-based, don't know why I like it so much, but I do....)

theres a lot more but I can't think right now and i'm to lazy to go to my basement and look through my games.

FF7: Got
Skies of Arcadia: Got
Vagrant: Got, and it's not turn based
Chrono cross: I'm british
It's true to be said, FF8 is the best game ever. "Darling so there you are..."

Kingdom hearts is also great, the COM is awful though

I'll look into some of those others though, thanks

Oh, and I own all the british FFs.

I should buy the ff8 soundtrack..... I bought a final fantasy piano music book and I know about 10 final fantasy songs for the paino now.... All of the FF's have good music, but 8's always sticks out at me as the best.....
Eyes On Me
"Whenever sang my songs, on the stage, on my own
Whenever said my words wishing they would be heard
I saw you smiling at me was it real of just my fantasy
You'd always be there in the corner of this tiny little bar

My last night here for you same old songs, Just once more
My last night here with you? Maybe yes, maybe no
I kind of liked it your way
How you shyly placed your eyes on me
Oh did you ever know? That I had mine on you

*CHORUS*
Darling so there you are
With that look on your face
As if you're never hurt
As if you're never down
Shall I be the one for you
Who pinches you softly but sure
If frown shown then I will know that you are no dreamer
*/CHORUS*

So let me come to you close as I wanted to be
Close enough for me to feel your heart beating fast
And stay there as I whisper
How I loved your peaceful eyes on me
Did you ever know that I had mine on you

Darling, so share with me
Your love if you have enough
Your tears if you're holding back
Or pain if that's what it is
How can I let you know
I'm more than the dress and the voice
Just reach me out then
You will know that you're not dreaming"

Thats the basic idea :D. I should really get around to beating that game again, right now I'm replaying ff7 and I'm 18 hours into it. I also really like melodies of life from ff9. I can play that on piano too. I just wish I could sing.....

EDIT: don't worry, I don't have that memorized, I got the words from my piano book. I love that song.....

lol, I do actually pretty much have that song memorized....
by the way, Where did you get the piano book? The only piano ff song I know fully is loss of me from final fantasy 1X (The beatrix theme)

THIS is where I got mine. Mine is called "Final Fantasy Super Best" its the last one on the fifth page. It has a lot of songs, but almost all of them are simplified and rewritten to the key of C so if you're really good at piano you would probably want to get a more difficult one (I probably should have).

If you want a ff8 only book "Final Fantasy VIII Original Soundtrack Piano Solo Arrangement Book" looks really good.

BTW, goity, have you tried out my WIP vns game fate? You can find it at the beta testing forum or at www.fategp.com. Please leave feeback.

xenogears
The second disc really starts to bog the story down. But the first is fantastic enough to make up for it.

FF8 had improved graphics, gameplay, music, cut-scenes, and possibly even a better story. But, in the end, it all comes down to opinion so its really not worth argueing.

I thought about getting that game but I still have a long list of games to beat so I decided I shouldn't until I at least beat a couple of them. It looks great. BTW, even though your gamecube broke, the memory card and game should work fine, right? Just look at garage sales, or on ebay or ask some friends, your bound to find a cheap one somewhere (after all, this is the gamecube we're talking about :D Actually, I like the gamecube, but the general public doesn't really....).

were Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Legendia released on the Playstation? I only played them at a friends, but could recommend them highly anyway. Very awesome.

On the FF8 offtopic-subject: When do you hear Eyes On Me? I'm replaying the game and while I've had I think all the Laguna/Squall parts in Deling City(disc 2, after the assassination of the Sorceress) I can't remember having heard it :(.
