Good Video Player?

Hey all,


I havent looked around extensively, but i was wondering if there is a good media player that also does video for the pandora. i dont have mine yet, so i was wondering whats out there.

The default GNOME player (which you don't have to download separately) actually works pretty well. Apparently PanPlayer is even better, but I haven't really had time to try that yet.


High-quality videos apparently don't play too well yet because of some work yet to be done on properly using the hardware...

Unfortunately there is no real "good" Video - Player for the Pandora they all have their ups and downs. There are at least:


- Gnome Player (Standard Gnome mplayer frontend)


- PanPlayer (Pickle-Launcher frontend for mplayer)


- VLC


- swfdec - Flash Videos


- minitube - Flash Videos

panplayer is indeed a front end for mplayer . but its a bit more than that it include a specially compiled version of mplayer and a script which sets the params optimaly for the type of vid you try to play


the pnd itself will launch pickle laucher, but with pnd_utils it can be used to play videos by clicking on them in the filemanager or in midori 0.3.3
