Help Needed With Formatting External Hard Drive To Ext4

Funny, I had my portable drive formatted to NTFS for a bit more than a a year. I never had a hiccup moving between Linux and Windows with it. I did quite a bit of file manipulation on it, too.

Since I've converted all my computers to Linux, I've also converted the drive to ext2. I couldn't be happier - except for the odd times I'd like to connect it to a friends computer to grab/share something. If you're primarily using Linux on your larger computers I'd totally suggest ext2 over anything else. If you primarily use Windows, I don't see why you shouldn't use NTFS for big portables and Fat32 for smaller media.
