How Well Is The Blu Selling?

just a quick idea about the new success of the BLU gp32selling out, why doesnt gamepark FINALLY make the mega man X or breath of fire they licensed? now is the time!

I say it would be a good move to release some known games for this system.
I don't think Gamepark ever actually acquired the licenses, let alone entered serious negotiations with Capcom.

Don't even talk about how Her Knights sold out, I was in the process of buying it from play-asia for $9.90 US and it sold out while I was busy checking out!
As for the BLU, it's great to see that it has been such a success, other people are finally realising what we all did years ago, that it's a great handheld and is totally worth the price!
$9.90USD?! Was this an across-the-board clearance or something?

*subscribes to Play-Asia's inventory notifier for Tomak, Her Knights & ASR*
Wow 10.00 USD for All for Princess? That is cheap. I got mine by an ebay auction that had a bunch of games included and I paid a bit too much. The games all had the box and they were in good shape so it isn't too bad. It actually looks tits on the BLU, you can see much detail that washed out on the FLU.

Just because Gamepark sold 20,000 units doesn't mean crap. You don't make money selling hardware (GP32's) you make money selling software and hence the Gamepark has little amounts of money. I'm not sure about other places but Microsoft is loosing a lot of money on each xbox sold in Australia because they are selling it for less than it costs to produce. It's the same situation with the PS2 as well. But they make it back many times on software. Gamepark definately needs to make or get other companies to make killer titles on the GP32 so they can get some profits from licencing. Thats also while the GP32 is still expensive because Gamepark can't afford to lower the price.

You don't make money selling most hardware. Microsoft and Sony for example make losses on their hardware, however Nintendo actually makes a profit on every Gamecube unit. We have no idea how much a GP32 costs to produce, so you shouldn't really assume...

They did in fact, and they paid big $$$ for this...

They're a korean company though, you have to remember. It's rare to find a competant one (don't hurt me, I'm basing it off of experience, mostly through MMORPGS and gaming companies)

They promised tons of stuff and didn't follow through, supposedly bought the rights to two capcom games and have either lied or sat on them for a couple of years hopeing games will magically hatch.

If the GP32 itself wasn't such a good system, gamepark's spotty and tarnished reputation would have driven people away long ago. (Where's our damned colored GP32s?)

Also, they seem to be pushing the home devving and homebrew thing more than the games like they were.... Which is thankful (But I wish they'd hire competant translators...)
