I don't get your point. What about this x86 atom based board is even similar to the Pandora?
 
well, it's x86 and it's made by CircuitCo, it's a hidden P2 prototype for sure... and can you add a poll while you're at it?

This looks pretty sad. With BeagleBoard, BeagleBoard-xM, and PandaBoard you got a dev board that actually had cutting edge hardware. With MinnowBoard you get a part that's an inferior variant of one that was out in 2009. And it costs more than any of those TI sponsored boards did when they were new (not to mention you can now get other ones for much less). You can even buy other (better) motherboards with Atom and RAM already for less than this (probably Bobcat ones too, maybe Jaguar).

I feel like Angstrom is a bad choice for this too, and pretty bizarre for something with x86. It doesn't have the problem with needing to fit everything on a little NAND like Pandora does, it doesn't even come with storage. I think it's just because the people making it already use Angstrom.
