Hello everyone my name is obiwan22 but im known as "obiwan222222" everywhere else on the internet

Im the person who brought you wii on psp, and wii on ipod touch

you can look me up on GOOGLE

I was featured on engadget.com a few times in the past

http://www.engadget.com/2007/03/17/kid-takes-psp-and-makes-it-play-wii/

http://www.engadget.com/2010/05/26/modder-transmits-wii-games-to-ipod-touch-which-isnt-really-as/

http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/17/lag-free-wii-on-psp-episode-ii-mario-kart-strikes-back/

the goal of these videos is to show that a handheld device doesn't need to have the specs and compatibility to run full modern day gaming systems, all you need is some vnc software and a little common sense knowledge

my motto is: "All this is, is just a proof of concept"-it agrees to all my videos

I would like to be assistance to the pandora project

FYI here is my youtube-feel free to explore what else I got

Cool~

By the way, you mention that you think that streaming might be the future of emulation on handheld devices, because of PSP's capabilities and inadequacies of running N64 and up. Could you please elaborate more on your theory?

well sir its very simple

please watch that- it tell you everything (kind of)

but my theory is this:

I think all portable devices as of right now have no way of playing any kind of emulator n64/psx and above

Emulators such as:

WII

Gamecube

DREAMCAST

Other software

however if we can configure our devices in the PROPER ways, we can run a vnc/virtual desktop

this would allow us to play ANY EMULATOR UP TO SPEED

just look at my video, at first when I Was doing this, I didnt think it would be possible to emulate full running wii on my psp

but after many tries I got the setup of the vnc and mapped the controls to match the emulator from the psp at REAL TIMES

think about it, this could be the future, having a server/computer that is always on running the emulator while the handheld device transmits the audio/video, the hanheld device wouldnt even need to have the proper specifications to run the emulator, but only need the proper video cards/processor to use the VNC program

DUUUDE! That's awesome :D

Yeah, I always wondered about using VNC, don't we need something about DSP to get it running right?

Also, I think Craig's trolling

Obiwan, you have to understand that most people want to emulate on a single system and not want to rely on being a certain distance away (or needing to be connected to WiFi or Bluetooth).

yes I understand this

however as of right now there is no device to emulate any advance systems

and the thing is, we keep our computers on most of the day

and when we are at home, we use our wifi to connect to connect to our pc

when we are out of home we can use 3g/4g on our smart phones to connect

that is why I stress that wireless connectivity is the future rather than heavy specs/fast processors,

in the meantime, this is all we have....

Sorry, I just don't like stream gaming and cloud gaming.
well I do and it will soon be everywhere, you will see

look up "cloud sharing"

and chromeOS

its gonna get big, it just has flaws right now and it only used for files

Scenario: I'm playing a PS3 game on my smart phone via the internet, but then my phone rings (or it glitches and switches off for some unknown reason) and I'm like, "FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU".

Interupted again.

Alt-scenario: I'm playing a game on my Pandora and my phone rings...I ignore it and continue playing.

very odd scenario

if your phone rings, you can ignore it the same way, or you can pause your game and continue your phone call......thats not really a big issue
