Booting the OS from an SD card has been mentioned a few times, but I'm not sure how to go about it. Is there a guide anywhere for this? As far as I can tell the flashing tool only lets you install the OS to NAND. It'd be great to be able to boot a separate install (say, for development) and keep the NAND clean.

There is a rumor that some wiley hackers have made a script that will copy the NAND-based OS to SD card for you, automagically, but this hasn't been released to the wild yet and will probably take a bit of prodding and poking before said hackers have the balls^H^H^H^H^Hgumption to put it in the hands of fearless, endlessly brave, users ..

This is a quick writeup, probably partly incorrect, but time is tight:

A few better options ought to be along soon.
