Open source

The Always Innovating team believes in the open source model and wants to strongly support it. The Touch Book OS is built from the excellent OpenEmbedded system and is a variant of the Ångström distribution by Koen Kooi.

Open hardware

Always Innovating believes that open hardware will stand out in the coming years as open software has done recently. Based on the Beagleboard project, we are releasing under GPL the schematics of The Touch Book board which final version will be available very soon in the coming weeks.

A few projects we really like

This includes Openembedded, Xfce (including Thunar), Gnome, MPlayer, Gnome-MPlayer, F-Spot, and Pidgin. We have sponsored some of those projects in the past few months and we welcome your participation in their further development.
