Okay, I get my new GP2X, insert batteries, insert an SD card, connect to my PC via USB, set USB connected in settings... And nothing. Ubuntu normally mounts drives automatically, but nothign was mounted. I am runnung Dapper Drake and have no idea where to start on this one, any help?

I have never used Ubuntu. I use SuSE 10.0. SuSE picked mine right up with no problem. But I would highly recommend a "card reader." The link really drains the batteries fast. I only used the link the first couple of days. Still it could be a mounting issue concerning the link. Sorry I cannot answer or help in that matter.

I suspect its not set up as a udev rule, but I'm guessing wildly I I only ever set it up manually.

plug in and have a look at the tail of dmesg.

Is the SD card also new? If yes, in ubuntu you can go to the administration menu and look in the disk menu (Or something like that)

There you can check the card lock it and unlock it and you can format it.

After that the card should work fine.
