Not if the existing game is a bitch to port. Like, say, using various features with hard or software (like using DirectX, or using a lot of code made for a non-ARM processor) would make a port a no-go, likely.
Is a port of Manic Digger to the Pandora possible at all? I'm not getting my hopes up, but it IS open source. If we can't have Minecraft, maybe we can have this.

I had the same reaction.^
Looks amazing. Reminds me of 3D Dot Game Heroes. Which was awesome!
There's a game I would like to have on my Pandora along with the ones from the 1st humble bundle. Although I'm not sure that I'd expect Penumbra Overture on the Pandora or World of Goo since it isn't open source but the rest should work out.Yep, but they've done 3 other games.
They're hommages to/remake of Space Invaders, Robotron: 2084 and Paradroid.
Really good and great looking games, but they're not open source.
Revenge of the Titans is the latest one.
I had the same reaction.
And it would be amazing to get a 3D Dot Game Heroes clone on Pandora!
With a quest editor and possibly a map editor
I would seriously buy it!
That's looking great! If I may ask, what are your plans with it exactly?wrote a fast 3D cube world renderer for Linux/GLES: CHECK

Received my Pandora: ERROR
hopefully that'll be resolved soon at the speed they're currently being shipped out.

Single player would be an issue, certainly, but a multiplayer client connected to a server beefy enough to build new chunks would be greatplus I doubt MineCraft would run on Pandora: its way too memory hungry (500+ MB) and chunk updates are too cpu-heavy for the little ARM guy,
I want to be able to play during my commute

Does look promising. Already runs on Linux (he claims) using Irrlicht, so it would just be a matter of getting an OGLES driver for Irrlicht. And he says no shaders, so OGLES 1.1 or whatever should work. Not sure how many games use that, or if it's easier to port than OGLES 2.How come noboby brings up the open source minetest? link (its on the wiki port requests}
Not only a claim. It does, I tried.Does look promising. Already runs on Linux (he claims) using Irrlicht
I tried, but it don't work for me.Not only a claim. It does, I tried.Does look promising. Already runs on Linux (he claims) using Irrlicht

Someone please do this! I'd do it, but I know nothing about this type of programming.Does look promising.
