I have just booted Pandora after one year non-usage and first thing what I have done it was update to 1.75 but it looks like it failed at some point. Now I'm not able to turn on WiFi or run xfce (is stuck on login process).

Do I need to re-install OS from scratch?

Thanks

FWIW, it's always worth making sure you reboot after an in-place upgrade. The op_ scripts that drive things like switching wifi on and off are often broken for me if I've forgotten to reboot after upgrading. Dunno about login problems as I've never switched users/used minimenu after doing an update.

Does installing from Scratch make sense?

For me to get wifi working I had to do the following as root from the command line:

iwconfig wlan0 power off

After that I can finally ping the router or any websites. Turning it off means no more ping or browsing.

However, I'm having issues opening certain pnds (luakit for one). I'll see about re-installing or seeing if it's because I need to re-install a dependency.

I re-flashed since I couldn't seem to even connect to the upgrade through upgrade-os

edit: I was on 1.75 before, and flashed and rebooted rather than upgrade-os
