What are your favorite racing games? I am no expert at the different consoles and would love to hear yours. Currently, my two favorites are Street Racer (Masterdrive) and Fzero (SNES).

My favourite 16bit racers:

Atari ST: Stunt Car Racer
Genesis: Lotus Turbo Challenge 2, Road Rash 2, Top Gear 2, Street Racer, Outrun, Outrun 2019, Rock 'n Roll Racing
SNES: F-zero, Street Racer, Super Mario Kart
NeoGeo: Thrash Rally, Neodrift

- Alex

Mine are: NeoDrift (Neogeo) and Top Grea 2 (Megadrive) :)

Neodrift, neogeo
Roadrash 3, MD
Mario Kart Super circuit, GBA

Nitro on the Amiga. People always seem to forget about this one for some reason, but I've spent many more enjoyable hours on this than any other driving game.

Criticals port of an Amiga emu, available here
Rather good it is too, not perfect but I think it's well worth using.

The Amiga emu's quality, just a little slow at the moment for some games (with sound) unless you overclock it to about 180mhz.
Shame I can only overclock my 2x to about 170-175mhz :(

The original Formula one grand prix on the Amiga was also a great game. In fact.. it's still one of the most enjoyable Formula 1 sim's that I've ever played.
