REminiscence32

REminiscence is a re-implementation of the engine used in the game Flashback
made by Delphine Software and released in 1992.

Only the PC DOS versions are supported. The engine has been reported to work
with english, french, german and spanish versions of the game.

You will need the original files, here is the required list :

FB_TXT.FNT
GLOBAL.ICN
GLOBAL.FIB
GLOBAL.SPC
*.OFF
*.SPR
*.MAP
*.PAL
*.ANI
*.CT
*.MBK
*.OBJ
*.PGE
*.RP
*.TBN
*.CMD
*.POL
*CINE.*

If you have a version distributed by SSI, you'll have to rename some files :

logosssi.cmd -> logos.cmd
logosssi.pol -> logos.pol
menu1ssi.map -> menu1.map
menu1ssi.pal -> menu1.pal

Files must be copied to gpmm/rs (don't forget to copy the mod files included)

This GP32 port, runs fullspeed at 133 Mhz and supports savestates.

CONTROLS

[Pad] Movement

[A] talk/use/run/shoot - Select menu option
[RSHOULDER] display the inventory - Skip cutscenes
[SELECT] use the current inventory object - Select menu option
[START] display the options (save/load/quit)

Wohoo.. tell me tell me! The gp32 kicks gp2x's ass!!

I'm working on ScummVM32 and other goodies.

Is there a way to turn op the brightness?

No. I tried on my GP32 FLU and BLU and the brightness looks fine.

I fixed the corrupted savegames some time ago but due to memory problems, there are lots of mods not working. I'll try to fix it one of these days or release what I have sooner or later.

Thanks to Anibarro who found that there is no need to overclock the GP32 to 133 Mhz. REminiscence32 now runs at only 60 Mhz :eek:

Files updated.

I get a reset after starting the fxe - could anybody who has it working email me a list of all the required files? I'm pretty sure I have them all, but there are a lot of them!

Thanks in advance...

I must admit with quality releases like this there's been nothing yet to tempt me away from the GP32 to the 2x.

Gotta LOL at 60Mhz. Excellent! I better go downgrade my batteries so I don't annoy the 2x owners with 10 hour + battery life :)

PS I'm drooling over the possibility of improved Scumm.

Many thanks A600 for your continued efforts.

Try the windows version http://membres.lycos.fr/cyxdown/reminiscence/ with your data files. If it works, then try to format your SMC and do a clean install (be sure you copy the files to gpmm/rs)
