I am going to get a SMC that was previously formatted for a digital camera or a MP3 player, but I don't remember if SMC could have problems with GP32 if they were formatted by a different device.
Can you help me, please?

You should be able to reformat it, I think. As far as I know, it shouldn't matter, but I can't be 100% sure because I've never tried it, myself.

I dont see why you woudlnt be able to reformat it for use in a gp32. unless its dead..which you still might be able to do a low level format. good luck with the extra storage.

Won't be a problem unless the SMC is knackered. Just reformat it and it'll add in the correct folders and everything (assuming you do it with PClink).

Cheers

I think they could have problems with digital camera, but it is not my case. Now I know that the SMC has been used to store data with an SMC reader/writer, so it should be ok. B)
