I am trying to play Chaos Engine on the 1ghz pandora and i am noticing that it slows down a lot during the end of world one , i guess due to the number of objects on the screen.

I am using SNES 9xEX , should i be using something else ?

it also suffers from slow down... if anything slightly worse then Snes 9Ex but better than snes9x4p

From what I can find, it seems the game experiences a lot of slowdown on a real SNES. So it's not really that the emulator can't handle it, although it can be somewhat better or worse than the real thing depending on how accurate the timing is. Unless there's an overclocking option or the game is slow ROM but can be converted to fast ROM there's probably not a lot you can do about it.

One way to tell if the slowdown is the game instead of the emulator is to see if the music still stays at full speed.

Yeah - since posting this i did a bit more research and seems the SNES struggled with it as well. I am used to the Amiga version, might see if i can get that running instead. :)
