Some Simple Questions On F200 To Start With

To mute sounds, couldn't you just plug in the head phones and not use them? That's what I do.

put a gp2xsound.wav on the root of the SD, make sure it's at least 2.71 seconds. Then boot up the device holding SELECT+START

It will change the sound in the firmware
I have problems with this technique.

I downloaded this file:

http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=23130

(needs registration)

and copied it to the root of my SD, and renamed to gp2xsound.wav (to be sure I copied-pasted the name you gave) and insterted my SD back at the device.

I held down select + home and turned on the device.... nothing changed...

what am I doing wrong?

PS: I use F200 with v4.0 firmware....

ok I don't know what this file is and I don't feel like checking either =P

Here is the file I use, it works.

http://c4-mtl.net/gp2xsound.wav

put that in the root, hold select+home (home buttons are lame)

and boot it up

Rammz: You need to film this, I'd love to see it hehe

When i get chance i will do so m8, i used to get the black screen and the only thing i have changed is the backgrounds on my f200 and this included the explorer one :D
