Still Fresh
i am putting together a selection of speccy games to put on my gp2x

what are the 'must have' titles ?

bearing in mind the controls !

must be excruciating playing the hobbit with a gp2x !

bruce lee, turbo esprit, jack the nipper 2 , renegade , rambo , zombie zombie , fruit machine , feud, cauldron, cyclone, driller, school daze, r-type.....i could go on all night ...lol

if you want maps for any games just pm me ,i must have thousands of maps

Yep, tons of great games:

Bomb Jack
Commando
Batty
Manic Miner
Chuckie Egg
Jet Pac
Atic Atac
Knight Lore
Head Over Heals

In fact, if you are a fan of the old isometric games, you really need to check out the GP2x version of Knight Lore. It is a superb remake that plays and feels just like the original but has full colour graphics, music and doesn't slow down in crowded rooms.

The Chuckie Egg and Football Manager remakes are pretty good too.

To add to some of the great titles mentioned:

Myth
Super Robin Hood
Antiraid
Dizzy games
Batman the movie
etc................

There are hundreds of really good games :D

Non Compo Mentis
Atic Atac
Bumpy
All the Dizzy games
Rebel
Into the Eagles Nest
Terra Cresta
Head the Ball
PacMan
Maze Mania
Anarchy
Tai-Pan
On the Run
Gun Smoke
Exolon
Solomon's Key

Trooper

Glider Rider
The Bobby Yazz Show
Ocean Conquerer (although that does require keyboard input as well as joystick)
Terminator 2
Biggles
Nonterraqueous (Soul of a Robot 2)
Grumpy Grumpy Supersleuth
Rockfall 2
Rockman
DeathStalker
Super Stuntman
Star Wars
The Empire Strikes Back
The Return of the Jedi
Rambo: First Blood
Batman: The Caped Crusader
BC's Quest for Tires
Brian Bloodaxe

Ant Attack, Camelot Warriors, Navy Moves, Phantomas I&II, Glaurung, Abu Simbel Profanation, La Abadía del Crimen, Mistery of the Nile, Aspar GP, Lone Wolf 4, Carlos Sainz, Emilio Sanchez Vicario Profesional Tennis Simulator, Manic Miner, Batman, Last Ninja 2, Hypersports, Stunt Car Racer, Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, Game Over I&II ,all the above games and a lot more.

Cool !
lots of titles to go at there..

must add Pssst by Ultimate to the list.
in fact all the Ultimate games were decent if i remember

cheers everyone

And don´t forget H.E.R.O , one of the most incredibles games of all times in my opinion :) It´s an Atari 2600 port i think.

The spectrum port of that was awful! Looks worse than the 2600 version :/

C64 version of that was probably the best.

I agree with you, but the game is the same when you play it ;)

I like to play the best version of emulated games. Don't remember there is a "best version" of any game on the spectrum. Or am I totally wrong?
Of course it is always nice to play the original from your childhood even if there are versions with better graphics and smoother gameplay.

I'm seconding a recommendation from Trooper (namely On The Run).

The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Moon Cresta
The Incredible Shrinking Fireman
The Sceptre Of Bagdad
Thanatos
The Real Ghostbusters
Trantor: The Last Stormtrooper
Starion
Who Dares Wins II
Dynamite Dux
The Ninja Warriors
Dark Star
