i opened it and found the lcd screen cable broken.

my friend gave me a 1ghz lcd screen wire.

i'm on it for replacement but found not the same slot screen wire.

i can't repair it for me pandora is dead.

the classic versin of the pandora screen cable with 1ghz pandora the screen cable can not be universal?

I don't have a Ghz model, so I can't check, but that sounds very odd. I can't remember any ocassion where Ed mentioned anything like that - this would also have been a problem for the swap Classic/Rebirth to Ghz offer Ed had in the past, as this would have needed a complete dissasembly of the unit. Ed also sells only one LCD-Cable in his shop, I guess this would also have lead to some negative feedback either here or in the support system.Maybe a board user with different models could give any reliable input ?

If you got some spare cash left, you could send it to Ed. PTOD repairment is free of charge, you would only need to pay for shipping.

Never heard of incompatible lcd cables, too. Are you sure your friend gave you the correct one?

Can you take a photo of the cable and the connector?

Did you make sure that the cable is properly seated in the connector(s) ? This is often the cause for colors beeing "off".

This looks like either improperly seated cable or cable broke during assembly (were you careful?)

Does the cable look damaged, or do the results change when you wiggle the cable around?

Also, you want to remove the date-setting on your camera. It is hardcoded onto the images. Since the date seems to be set on the camera, the right information is embedded in the metadata of the image anyhow.

I'm sure I correct installation of cable.

But the screen is still blue.

I should be estimated LCD screen is broken.

I've got Pandora together.

And the new update system.

It still shows blue.

I'm going to give it up, because the repair international freight is expensive.

I'm going to buy a new 1GHz Pandora, or wait for Pyra

You could send it for repair. Or use the GHz upgrade. Where did you get this Pandora from?

Did you buy it used? Was it like that from the beginning?

How do I fix it?
I bought in the eBay someone else's machine.
I bought a used machine.
I have to say, the last Pandora sellers to assemble the machine technology is very poor.
I buy a machine discovery, he put X, Y, A.B four button installed backwards.
But the lack of screw. I regret not directly in the official website to buy the new Pandora.
I like Pandora very much, but its price is always expensive...
I fix this classic version under consideration, or upgrade 1GHz.

I had just assembled Pandora. At least it is not black.
But the screen color is not normal. Now I can only use it to listen to music.

That looks like an LCD cable issue to me.

So: Nope, you didn't insert it correctly or you broke it during assembly.
