I know, I know... Just couldn't resist to do it (look, I did even a place for the pen!)
 
You can clearly see where the OMAP is located in that thermal pictures :D
Indeed, seems to be successfully using USB host connector as a heatsink.

What was the room temperature when you did this?

As was stated in my original post, 24'C with 50% relative humidity. :) The images have been calibrated to the Pandora's black plastic body's emissivity, not to the screen's or the table's emissivity.


I haven't taken any photos of it but after some more checking with the thermal camera, the metal grounding shield from the USB port is without a doubt one of the hottest exterior parts of the case. That's an ingenious way to hide a semi-external heatsink! I wonder if that was intentional or accidental.
