Here's a quote of http://www.gp32x.de/board/index.php?/topic/58658-ginge/page__st__90 , making it easier to find.

Tuto from Traylorpark :

Alright, so I've Ginge-ified CaveStory so that Ginge is totally invisible.
Here's how I did it on my Caanoo.

First Step :

In the "GAME" folder
I have a folder called "cavestory_gp2x" that contains the Cave Story files.
And I have an .ini file called "cavestory_gp2x.ini"

My .ini file reads as follows:

Code:
[info]
name="GINGE: CAVE STORY"
path="/cavestory_gp2x/startup.gpe"
icon="/cavestory_gp2x/doukutsu.png"
title="/cavestory_gp2x/title.png"
group="GAME"

Step two :

Now, inside the "cavestory_gp2x" folder, I have created a .gpe file using Notepad/Textedit called "startup.gpe".
Be careful that your editor of choice can encode the file properly, something Unix happy, as straight text as you can muster.
Use this tuto about .ini files.

Note the .ini file points to this .gpe file.

The .gpe file is as follows:

Code:
#!/bin/sh

/mnt/sd/apps/ginge/ginge_prep --nomenu ./doukutsu.gpe

cd /usr/gp2x/
exec /usr/gp2x/gp2xmenu

The /mnt/ file location points to where I put Ginge, in my app folder. Change this if Ginge is in a different location for you.

If you want to modify the icon or the title bar : Use this tuto.

You can probably use these files as a template to any other game you wish to Ginge-ify. Just change the addresses.

Be careful, the paths are case sensitive again ;)

Sorry for bumping... but doesn't work for me...
I save everything in unix file format (using Notepad PP) but when I execute the game with the bar in the menu shows up (for about 1 second) a ginge terminal where it's written that he is executing duke3d.gpe (want to play duke nukem 3d) but, even if I placed all the files in the ginge directory it does not run (crashes after the terminal I described before). Solutions?
This is my startup.gpe:
Code:
#!/bin/sh

/mnt/sd/apps/ginge/ginge_prep --nomenu ./duke3d.gpe

cd /usr/gp2x/
exec /usr/gp2x/gp2xmenu

Ok, got it... the files of the game must be where startup.gpe is... not in the ginge folder... :D
