I know the C64 is fairly complex 8-bit computer to emulate - I'd even say the most demanding of all the 8-bit computers as it was the most powerful with it custom hardware.
OT, but I feel the need to say:

Most demanding? I don't think so. The ATARI 8-Bits are a bit more complex. :)

The only other suggestion I can think of would be the implementation of optimized RAM Timings if possible - specially for those who don't use Gmenu2X.

Otherwise nice work! Thanks for the update, always highly appreciated!

I think this is highly unoptimised. If it was more optimised it should run fullspeed at 200 MHz without the sound glitches and pauses. I think it is mostly PC code ported without much in the way of GP2X specific optimisation.
Spoke by someone with programming skills :)

An obersvation about the pauses:

I was playing Impossible Mission 2 and it was perfect @ 200mhz, but when I fell in a hole and the man screamed, the scream paused every second.

O/cing to 250mhz made the first half of the scream normal, but then it seemed to hit a hump and the back end of the scream had the constant pauses.

Does this help locate the problem? Some kind of audio buffer filling up?
