Virtual Memory Unit

DirectVMS is just a DirectX port of SoftVMS. And, if memory serves, SoftVMS is full of annoying bugs (timing issues and the like). However, someone did port it to the Dreamcast (unreleased), so it should be portable enough to get on the GP32.

lots of minigames of that kind... power stone had a simple shooter and such stuff, i heard... mostly very simple stuff i think.
but nevertheless one more ideal system for gp32 emulation

Skies of Arcadia had a game.

It would be more interesting for the animations, however. Some are pretty good.

It would be fun if some hardware guru could make the connection to the dreamcast controller and have the GP32 actually emulate a VMU... heh.... as if that's gonna happen ... still ... one may dream. :D

Just think about it - a VMU with 128 MB storage and inherent PC-link option. Perhaps with a autopatcher for cheats.

...Uhm, stop staring. It's not THAT crazy an idea, is it?

That would be cool, you hook your gp32 up to your dc and use it as a controller, just like gba with gc. But realistically, I think a vmu emu would be worth making for gp32.

Not going to happen. The maple bus is a huge pain in the ass (even more than USB). The only person who could possibly do it would probably be Rand Linden, but I don't think he's gonna touch the Dreamcast after the whole Sony lawsuit thing.
