I'll admit, I don't read a lot of these but I had a fun time reading a few and I think it would work well on the Pandora. Any developers thought about porting a reader? :)

Which one?
Narcissus is already in the archive, and that has a reader included :)

Yes, I read about that and I will probably check it out when my Pandora comes tomorrow. :) But if memory serves, I think for the GP32 there was a visual novel interpreter, that I was able to download visual novels that it could read. I figured there are also modern interpreters? I could be wrong about the GP32 one, though. This is years ago, and my memory's not that good.

Silly me, I searched but I didn't search hard enough. http://www.gp32x.de/board/index.php?/topic/46849-visual-novel-interpreters/ It wasn't for the GP32—it was an interpreter for the GP2X.

Narcissus is using Onscripter, so it's in the PND :)
I only wrapped up Narcissus so far, but basically, you could do the same with other visual novels as well :)
