Is it possible? I dont even know if there is decent open source VNC software but the idea seems pretty awesome.

Edit: I just stumbled upon the another thread that search never showed =/ oops

Is it possible?
Definitely possible. Moreover, it should work in both cases: Pandora as a VNC client (remote for your PC) and Pandora as a server (instead of digital video out).

Its all in there, no need for even porting. That would be what I would use for the pandora being a vnc server.(I use it personally)

you can use as a viewer

Ah, that already works :)

Does VNC include playing games on my stationary PC while it streams the rendered image to my Pandora?
No, VNC is way too slow and does not stream from your sound card, I also suspect if you went into video hardware mode (e.g. 3D acceleration and all that) that it wouldn't stream the video at all.

Stream My Game is supposed to be able to do what you want, but I didn't find it that great when I tried it... and I don't know if there is an ARM client.

I'm pretty happy of I can sit in my sofa with my PC connected to my 32" 1080p LCD TV and use my Pandora as a remote. The touchscreen working as a touchpad and a nice keyboard etc :)

my copied post from the other old vnc-thread:

where´s the difference to stream my game, apart from some extra features like multicast etc.? http://www.streammygame.com/smg/index.php

btw.: would it be possible to use stream my game client on the pandora? a barrier resolution of 640x480 should be fine for the pandora http://www.streammygame.com/smg/modules.php?name=Join

so one other thing we´ll need is a software to boot the home server (desktop x86 pc) with "wake on WAN"... ;)
