Volume Wheel Static?

While playing audio, if I decide to adjust audio I get a nasty static sound on my earbuds out of the audio jack in the front.

I'm pretty sure its a bad potentiometer that got damaged over time since the case rubs up against the wheel, resulting in a plastic clicking whenever the wheel is moved.

Any word on ease to replace it? Is it user solderable? I'd hate to RMA just for that and bother ED/Craig with more work/return hassles. I'm pretty good with a soldering iron.

I've desoldered volume controls before that size.. I suggest a good desoldering pump.. solder wick is okay, but I find It a little more sloppy than using a pump and it requires more heat on the board/parts than just using the pump.

Perhaps one of the guys can share the part number or equivalent of the volume control potentiometer so you can order it yourself from Digikey or Mouser.
