Are you planning to do a clone in the original GBA form?

It was much more confortable than the SP, the only problem was the screen...

Well, a rechargeable battery would be nice too. =]

There is a non-clamshell version on its way but it's not in an old GBA shell, it's more akin the to the Gemei A330 shell. If memory serves it also has a user replaceable rechargeable battery. I've no idea when it'll be ready though, it's still in design phases. I'm nothing to do with design or manufacture of either of these devices by the way, I just talk with the designers and the shop that sells them.

You can always mod the screen to have a backlight.

Frontlight. I have a couple of original GBAs with modded frontlights and they're far from ideal. They look like the original GBA SP (ie not the AGS-101 model) except a little worse. Still better than no light at all, but it doesn't compare to a real backlit screen.

Anyone order one of hearse I got the silver one heading my way.
