I'm trying to figure out if there is anything that can be done to improve my wifi download speed. I've tried setting a highest wifi channel on my router (13) and running the command that I'm asuming disables power saving but I'm not to familier with linux enough to be sure; I've also disabled wifi security but that unexpectedly reduced performance. Right now I'm running wpa-psk/wpa-psk2 AES security without any range boosting fetures enabled on my belkin play max modem router, and I'm getting average 20kb download speed with a max of about 50kb/s (briefly). Is this the most I can expect out of the wifi chip? What speeds have any of you managed to get?

Well, at work I get 350kb pretty stable. At home i get between 250 and 300 kb.

What would be more interesting to me is, why the wifi drops out or gets much slower, when running gles apps...
