Am only I the only one thinking that it seems somewhat appropriate to have threads on screws? ;)

Whe are screwd (was this a real sentence ??)
I dotnt think the Pyra gets Torks Screws, but if so, i have finaly a reason to carry my Swisschamp XLT as Pocketknife because its got a Bit Driver Build in.. but its weight is more than the Pyra..

So i hope for Phillips Screws so i can fix it whit the Screwdriver of my Current Wenger/Victorinox Evogrip S557 (Victorinox bought Wenger some yeahrs ago, and Wenger also made swiss army knifes, but unlike Victorinox, they also had Lockable Blades on some of there normal Size Knifes, the Old Wenger Knifes are now "Victorinox Delemont Collection", made by Vic, but Invented by Wenger....)

What Pyra use Screws?
I heard about them in somehow in the Past.

Where Screws not that tiny little Things wo
hold the Machines and Electronicals on another Parts?

Screws....hmmm...today nearly all Phones are simply glued :)

(little Sarcasm Joke..hope my english was good enough for Imagine it)

But now to something completly Differrent:
Ontopic:

This Pyra Phone look realy good for me too.
First when the Words Pyra Phone arrived here...
.i thought EvilDragon is phoning with the Pyra.

Maybe he hold the Pyra like the older Nokia Ngage1 Mobile Phone....but it was not that Case.

Good Video,thanks to @EvilDragon

Couldn't give a damn about the screws (though glad it has them). Looking forward to it.

I've been following this project for what seems like ages and for the first time I'm getting impatient! Is there any reason to hope that we will see the preorders getting out by august? yes i know evil does not give out dates, but i need to quell this utter feeling of: urrragghhtuh!

any guesstimates from fellow users?

simply glued
but but... that's GENIUS! And if the glue can conduct heat (but not electricity), we can fill it with glue! And we'll call it "Pyra SG" (simply glued) and the screws are decorative decals.

nevermind, people will not be able to open the screen. Keys pressed will stay pressed...

Next March is my guess.

I only want to rant a bit:
Im quite sick from our pessimistic prognosis, next March, that’s next year..
I don’t want to give pressure to the people work on the Pyra, but I can’t believe it’s next year,
I ditnt find a reason why it can’t be around Gamescom 2019,
Everything should work, the Boards only need a bit more testing, and Massproduktion, and Assembly,

II know it’s sometimes hard to believe, but it’s still 2 Months

I just like to sit here and watch the hole thing unravel befor my eyes :D

I believe, any other company wouldn't have even anounced yet, that they are producing something.
But here we are all part off the process and are able to communicate with the head of everything.

I really like how this project is going. Yes it is a long time, but keep your heads up and enjoy the ride

Hard to believe how close its getting. I'd estimate closer 6-8 months not the classic 2 month™ though.
Get ready for delays too, nothing ever goes easy on time unless you have lots of money.
I barely ever log in and post, but I regularly check the forms and news posts.
Just wanna say keep up the wonderful work guys.

I've always wondered why there hasn't been chosen for an option where hexagon shaped metal nut bolts/barrels are glued in the case. instead of driving screws directly into the plastic...

Reminds me. I have a device with a transparent case, and messed up the look of it a bit by not being careful enough screwing it back together, and gouging out a new thread path on the plastic. It now looks a bit uneven and opaque there instead of the clear crystal it was before.

Likely either the cost of making automated tooling to handle the job or the time/cost of the manual labor involved to drive those threaded inserts into the plastic by hand.
