Svorbis Version 0.9d Has Been Released

Press and hold the key for next track, previous track, move separator left, move separator right , fast forward or rewind and you'll find out. :) Well, it's autorepeat on the keys.

what lines should i put in the .ini file to get 66mhz clockspeed?
Code:
cpu.mclk = 67500000
cpu.divfactor = 0x25002
cpu.clumode = 2
These values are taken from the mirkoSDK and not tested, but they should work.

i think that would be enuff for playing 64kbps .oggs, right?
I noticed that with the 136MHz default the sound is a bit clearer than running it with 114MHz, which also works. You can't damage anything (your hearing maybe ;)) by trying. But I really doubt that it 66HMz will produce anything I'd like to hear. Please prove me wrong.

w00t! New version. Oh and I think it was my SMC corrupting. I did a low level format with GpDrive, and I get no more problems anymore :D Thnx for the help SvOlli!!! And the great program B) B)
Ok, one minor trouble I am having is with dBPowerAMP, it writes the tags as Title and Artist, but the Title wont work, only if it is in all CAPS.

I just checked the source code. The tag detection is case insensitive. Please keep in mind that all shows tags are cached in the playlist. To get the change from the ogg to the playlist you'll need to delete the playlist or rename the ogg file.

Thanks, jegHegy. Seems like I'm straightening things out towards the 1.0 release. On my todo list are still left:
  • mod my GP32 and get voltage detection running
  • get a new logo and icon (submissions are gratefully accepted :))
  • give the new sound driver a code audit to insure stability, especially when switching sample rate from one ogg to another
  • hack together the unix / windows tool for creating playlists
  • release GpTremor as project independent library
So I guess 1.0 will hit the road sometime in october or november, if there are no more bugs found.

Greetings,
SvOlli

I was wondering if you were planning on adding chatboard support for anything? I know you most likely won't as it won't be helpful for what you want out of the player. Just could perhaps be handy to have the option to maybe assign shortcuts to tracks maybe? Or even use it as a remote control! That would be sweet.

Just wondering as I noticed you bought a chatboard from steve-o too.

Well I bought the chatboard just for fooling around. I might find some use for some old home computer emulation, like C64 or Atari ST.

Anyway, chatboard support will not be in SvOrbis Version 1.0. It might come in later. How about searching for a song by entering the artist or title? Or even editing the tags on the GP32? There might be a use or two for it, but that's distant future. First of all the topic list mentioned above needs to be finished.

  • Could you also add:
  • Port to gp32linux ?

    By the way the new sound engine is really perfect for me

Nope. That won't be done by myself. With a little bit of tweaking the GpTremor library will be able to run under gp32linux, that's gonna happen soon. I might be able to offer a simple command line player for gp32linux, but the complete interface stuff (buttons, screen, sound) is written for native GP32. It would be easier to port something from x86 linux to gp32linux than to port from GP32 native to gp32linux. Sorry.
