Hey guys,

As some of you may know, i recently repaired a dodgy GP32 BLU. Or so i thought.
It boots up fine, however the screen gradually fades to nothing. I have my suspicions of exactly what could be causing this, but i REALLY need a simple photo to help me solve it.

All i need is for someone to take out their batteries and SMC, and unscrew the back of their GP32 BLU (it must be a BLU) then take a photo of the bottom left corner of the board, between the speaker plug and the AC Adapter input.

That is all i need, and it doesn't require removing critical components or unplugging anything from your GP32, except taking the back panel off.

This would really help me out and I would greatly appreciate it.

Check your batteries. That is what it does when they are dead/dying.

It isn't battery related, i've changed batteries numerous times.

Also the screen fades but the backlight continues going strong, so it's a voltage problem related directly to the screen. Which is why i need the photo i requested, so i can ensure that all via's are intact.

Ok, just checking. :) There were some huge, high res pics of the BLU internals somewhere... *searching*

Were the pics posted on these boards, or on the net in general?

I'll join in the search.

You painted your BLU trooper?

No! :p , That`s just the grey plastic surround.

Saying that, As i have two blu`s, I may just do that sometime. ;)

Hi trooper, you picture is greatly appreciated.

I'm just wondering though, is your BLU a normal BLU or a BLU+?

Reason i ask is because the layout of my BLU mainboard is completely different to yours.

Both of my Blu`s are 100% Blu`s and not Blu +. :)
