Hey, I got killer 7 yesterday, and i'm just wondering if anyone else has it

the game is very good, and there are riddles which require you to do some thinking

the biggest niggle i have with the game is that you can only talk to your guide once in each location, so if you misunderstood something he said you have to reload the save to hear it again

also you cannot fast forward text

but overall this is a very good game, and the system feels very similar to Resi4

and for anyone that doubts the on rails part, it works really well

in a game like this there really is no need to wander around, you just need to get from point A to point B

and the choosing direction aspect helps the game play out like a scripted RPG (with large amounts of blood and shooting)

also the idea of having 7 different killers plays nicely, and the leader of the gang, garcian smith, carrys a suitcase in which he can rescue the heads of his fallen comrades and regenerate them

this does mean if garcian dies then its game over, which is a shitter since imo he has the best shot out of the 5 killers you start off with

theres a lot of violence and aren't there some 'dark' themes

I still need to pick up resi4 so I can finish it (I only rented it for a few weeks but really enjoyed it.) then I'll get this

well, the way you power up the 7 is by collecting blood from the heavens smile

there is a lot of blood, it squirts every where when you die

you can also blow off individual limbs so that you can collect more blood

also the general them of it is a bit sick

at one point an item you need is inside the mouth of a decapitated head in a washing machine, and the head talks to you

the guy in GAME told me that for Killer 7 he had been specifically asked by his superiors to check fo ID

well I'm still on Mission 0, which basically helps you out using the different powers, and I've been playing it for about 2 hours (although i did get stuck for about half an hour)

IGN says there is around 15 hours, although once you complete it you unlock killer 8, which is the same game except you can play as Harman Smith, who is the one dreaming up all the other assassins

PS: another reason for the 18 certificate is Kaede's special power, she slits her wrist open and your dead helpers wife appears and opens up new halways

I needed around five days to complete it. This game is just a beautiful weirdness. And the story is awesome, IMO (wait till the end :D)

I really like the minimalistic graphics and gameplay, although sometimes I wished I could leave the given paths and just look at the wonderful levels (wait till you get to the DomRep level, it`s just... beautiful!)

And Garcian isn`t by far the best character, but one of the coolest ;)
I personally like Con the most, wait till you get all his stats on level 5, he rocks the house. Only bad thing is, he has such low health...

Oh and the music in the hallway after the Gatekeeper or whatever he is called is the coolest game music I`ve ever heard. I`m just standing around there for five minutes every time I pass by him, just to listen to the music. :D

btw. which version are you playing, GC or PS2? (You better be playing the GC version, which is far superior to the PS2 version, clearer graphics and the loading times are much shorter...)

yep, im playing the GC version

the bit i got stuck on was that lit the candles and the trinket to open the book shelf was revealed, but i didnt pick it up, so i was wandering around like a headless chicken

I think con has too much recoil on his gun, as does dan

although i usually switch to con for running

Kaede is probably one of my faves, because her zoom allows you to shoot off all the limbs and then the yellow glow in order to get maximum blood

I do like using Mask, although the reloading is a little slow (not as slow as Kaede)

also, Con's reloading sequence is awesome, he just jiggles around like crazy

I unlocked the albino, and his power up is pretty cool, where he sorta charges up the knives

Coyote is my favourite though (I've got him to level 5, because hes the only one i use)

and to anyone put off my the amount of shooting that looks like its happening, the majority of the paying is similar to the puzzle games like the Crimson Room and old LucasArts games

Coyote was my less used character, if you get Con everywhere on level 5, you get autoaim for critical hits, no recoil, and firing as fast as a machine gun. He`s awesome!

I just finished the game. Can anyone tell me the story of killer 7 cause it is so confusing. :(

I just beat Resident Evil 4 (greatest game i've ever played)

onto trying this out! :)

For hints and theories about the story, go here.

Don`t spoil anything here, as some are still playing it...

Oh, so, anyone been to the gate man and loves the music? :D

This game is fantastic!

Wasn't sure if I liked it or not at first but you really owe it to yourself to persevere with it as once you finish the first level things start to become more clear.

Keep dying on the same bit though :( Am stuck at the end of level 2 (Sunset) keep getting killed by the Phantom Smile just after the Gatekeeper any tips anyone? I know youre supposed to hit the biggest part of it's anatomy but am finding it quite difficult, Who's the best character to kill him with?

Any help appreciated :)

Oh and Quiest, yeah the music after the Gatekeeper is very cool, gets the pulse racing cause you know there's a boss encounter coming right up.

Phantom Smile: Use Kaede, sniper (aim and press special button [Y on GC]) at the head (I think it`s the head that is big on this one everytime, try to aim as high as possible) One shot and he`s gone. The Speed Smile at the first level is the hardest one of those, I think.

Glad I found this thread.... I was just going to pass on Killer 7 as another cell shaded generic game.... now I know I need to check this out.

Resident Evil 4 is one of the top five best games I have ever played.... it's just awesome... so much better and different than all of the previous resident evils and right up there with Metroid and Zelda as the best of the GC games.

Thanks for the response, finaly got past that bit last night though with coyote (he has a steady aim) was shooting the wrong part of the head Doh!
