Off To Korea, Gpx2 Awaits!

craigx, will you be able to see their manufacturing process as well as talk with the designers?

i hope the gpx2 has better build quality, with all the problems people have w/ gp32 sticks and buttons

At least do something against dust under the screen.

Dust under the screen?

Do you have a FLU? Because that's the only GP32 type that I ever had dust issues with, and that wasn't GamePark's fault - the FLU was actually a 3rd party mod.

My BLU seems sealed tight as can be, no dust at all. And my controls, on all 3 GP32's I've seen, have always been tip-top. Well aside from needing a small tweak to the shoulder buttons. ;) But that was dead easy to do. Even GBA's often had wonky shoulder buttons and tight dpads.

I do. I've had two gp's (a FLU and a BLU), and both had dodgy shoulder buttons, not to mention the loose joysticks gp32's are so famous for. And dust gets under the screen of a gp32 BLU as well; my gp is proof of that ;)

I don't want to fix my gp's shoulder buttons or deal with shoddy d-pads; it shouldn't be an issue in the first place

Now, who's going to make the XGP swiveling-screen GIF animation?

p.s can u edit your first post with the pics and news? as im sure the thread will have loads of replys, and hard to find the news.
Very good Idea.

Craig can you just edit your first post, with pics and news, so that it is easy to find everything.

A little OT, but someone else started it - I have a blu+ and I have got to say its built really well. It has a perfect, tight, clicky joystick, the shoulder buttons are very solid, the battery compartment doesn't rattle - its really great!

What the hell do y'all do with your GP's that make them fall apart - you definately don't treat them with any finesse!

My guess would be lots and lots of use.

I have a FLU and the battery door rattles a little but the buttons are fine, the stick is a little loose but I blame that on too much KOF and BOR.

i have a blu+ as well, in fact it's only a few months old. i've never dropped it and it's always transported in a protective case.

my right shoulder button is finicky, i have to press on it hard and at just the right spot for it to register. i haven't tried the ghetto shoulder button fix yet.

pea did you just have to rub it in our face, you got the 1 perfect gp32? :p

my shoulder buttons are giving me a bit of trouble too... but they're not nearly as bad as azure's looked. I should try shoving something in there to fix it too. I don't use them that much so it's not a huge problem, but I should still probably do something about it.

:D Maybe I did. The shoulder buttons are tight compared to the stick. Is this normal? And they click very loudly. My fiance (oops, my wife) gets annoyed when she's trying to read :)

Wonderful! What I'd like to know, is whether GPH are creating emulators for launch like they are rumoured to. Any chance of some pics?

I don't think they're actually creating their own emulators. I think they're referring to all the emus that will get ported to GPX2 by devs thanks to the open source nature of the device.

But I'm not 100% sure. Maybe they did work on a few emu ports of their own, it's certainly possible. And it would be be a good way to get customers interested right away.

Remember, their site is written is a form of SNKglish. So you have to read between the lines a bit. ;)

GPH do not create the emulators themselves, but don't worry.
craig gathered some devs so the emulators will be released with the system :)
