What do you do, for living, exactly?

Skeezix is a professional software developer.

Visit his site: CodeJedi

I'm in for a few bucks to get him a GPX2 - anyone else?

I will give something. I have enjoyed his Castaway on the current GP32 alot. Now with the cyclone bugs vanquished a new CaStaway using it would rock on the GPx2. If someone (ED, Craig?) wants to set up a donation kitty for him I will give some. We would need to set up a "support your local dev'r" thread for this so it is well known.

Homebrew is like a large extended family, If you dont help each other who else will?

So... Are you suggesting we get these homebrew devs on welfare? :D Hell, seems like everyone else is, might as well. Hehe.

More rumours? OK.

The GPX2 will offer the functionality to connect with an iPod and other select MP3 devices to swap data through the USB port. It can also provide visual playback of any OGG or MP3 file.

The d-stick can be replaced with different versions, as was the case with the GP32. Along with alternate designs and colours to suit tastes, there will also be an anologue variation with full 360 control.

There is actually a third processor selotaped to the back of the machine. Whether or not this can be accessed directly for coding purposes remains to be seen.

Please feel free to distrubute these rumours as you see fit.

i just heard a great rumour from a friend of a friend who knows someone who's brother knows the guy from this place who says that the gpx2 will play ps1, ps2, dc and saturn straight out the box, oh and it also has a 100 hour battery life as well.

Does the cellotape increase the overclocking potential? This sounds awesome!

Hello again,

After reviewing everything (i'm visiting the factory on monday) I can say i'm even more pleased with the machine than I was previously.

I have no doubt it will be able to emulate even more than we had expected, its very powerful with those 2 cores.

Battery life will be an impressive 6-10 hours (depending on clock speeds).

Confirmation of preorders should begin in september.

Oooooh I'm so getting tempted to preorder... I'd pimp some hoes but I hear pimping is not easy.

Yes, but the lifespan is finite. You may need to replace it at somepoint, duct tape is probably better quality than the standard GPH stuff. Possibility for mods there.

I wonder what expansion slots the device will have; given USB or the like, maybe we can get USB keyboards; I doubt it'll have bluetoth, but a usb blutooth dongle or 802.11 hookup could be groovy for multiplayer. Heck, ScummVM is already good on GP32 but porting over Infocom and Magnetic Scrolls type text adventure engines woudl be a cakewlak with Linux as a backend.. :)

USB is the same as the GP32 - as in, host capable, but not powered. So it'll be a hardware hack to power up usb keyboards and the like. May be better off going down the SDIO route.

Perfect SNES is possible maybe? Maybe Amiga and GBA?

Could be good.

snes is "possible" without a doubt when both cores get fully utilized, only time will tell how fast it is in real world.
