Opensnes

I don't know a whole lot about websites (my little brother made mine), could someone please tell me where I can check my bandwidth? (I have cpanel, if that helps). I see that it says "Bandwidth usage (current month): 41.90 Megabytes".

BTW, reesy, i've never heard final fantasy 6 sound that good on my gp32! Althought it still runs slowly, the sound is clear enough that its well worth leaving on. Thanks again!

Ahhh, the sound is much improved! With this new version I could play LttP for a while (up to rescuing Zelda) and almost enjoyed it. ;-) I guess if my FLU went up to 166, the game would be very playable.

And saving indeed seems to work again.

hercule18 and Huxley - thanks for the kind words about my site.:) I keep meaning to put it in my sig but I always forget.

Deadlychicken22 - Only 41 mb used? then I doubt you used it all up, seems your server must have just been down for a while, it's back up now. If both you and Goity are hosting now I'll leave mine up for maybe another hour just in case.

DAMN YOU ARE GOOD, alpha2!!!
makes me want to draw and stuff.
i love that sol and millia rage drawing!

ps.
thanks for the emu work, reesy!!

Thanks for what you have done so far Reesy. The emulator sounds fantastic now. I wish you luck in getting Pocketspc into the emulator properly.. But even if you cant, it sure sounds really nice and clear now! Excellent work as always!!

Donkey Kong Country runs really nice at 144 mhz at Fs2 with sound!

Hearing that FF6 works well (albeit slow) is great, as that's one of the top games I was hoping to play on my GP32! Awesome. As I don't have my machine yet and can't compare versions, all I can say is that I was really looking forward to GP32 Snes, so cheers Reesy, keep it up man!!!!

Still don't know how well it'll work on the BLU+ but I'm hopin'!

Well the problem is I thought I had fixed it at I can't see what else I can do other than rip out all of Mr.Spivs LCD code and replace it with the LCD code from Mr.Mirkos SDK. The problem is compounded by the fact that I am unable to test if it works because I do not have a BLU+.

Actually there must be an easier fix as I remember someone writing a patching problem to make BLU applications BLU+ compatible. I'll have a look around and see what he had to do.

i gotta test it w/ my blu+. Last i checked it played nicely, but some bugs were still festering. Im about to check out the updated version. Hope it's good :D

im sure it'll be amazing.

One last thing; my FLU refuses to play reesy's emu (with games like DK country, etc) with the light on....yes, it's bizaar-the fucking light goes out. dunno why. anyone have the same prob as me??

edit: that blasted line is now at the top (very top) of the blu+ screen, and dk country 2 kills my flu light. damn :(

Reesy, it just looks like one of the values for the LCD is setting right on BLU+ mode, the other is missing. Could just be a little error in the code.

Though it obviously isn't just for me or just because of me, thanks guys for backing me up and getting things really rolling with the BLU+ compatability!

Save problem.
Saving seems ok, but when I try to load the saved file I get the following message:
yo3
File not in Snes9x freeze format
Error

And the loading fails. The is playing Super Mario on a BLU unit.
Thanks for all the extra work on the emulator.
You are a coding legend.

Well, DKC has always run well at 156Mhz, although I've never tried it at 144. That does sound impressive, actually.

OK, I'm going to go try this thing now (and pray that my old SMC actually recognizes the new file).

EDIT: daclassicgamingmaster, you probably need to insert fresh batteries. :p

For some reason it's not working for me (FLU, 133MHz) - it seemed to work the first time, then hung up after I tried to change the settings to the recommended ones (which it couldn't do, incidentally, and indicated this was because there was no existing settings file?). Now whenever i start a game I get the rom id at the top and then it just blanks the screen. I removed all my saves, then removed everything and put it in clean, but no joy :( Yoyo's version still works.

I've never really had any problems running anything before; are there any specific steps I should take first to try and alleviate the issue?

Try deleting the settings.ini file (iirc, could be called something else) in (I think) GPETC or GPSYS if you can find it. Or make those directories - a lot of proggies have trouble creating a file of the directory doesn't exist (rather than simply making the dir for you).

EvilDragon has very kindly supplied me with some web space. I haven't had chance to put together a web site yet but I'll get around to it this week some time.

Anyway the address is: http://reesy.gp32x.de/

I've posted another OpenSnes binary, hopefully this one will fix the BLU+ issues. If someone could test it out and let me know if it works or not that would be great.

Reesy
