I'm new to all of this, so please bare with me.

I know you need to install the SDL stuff into the GP2X in order to get the SNES emulator running but I can't seem to get it to work. What is the root directory that the directions say for me to put it in? I've put it both in a folder I created "ROOT DIRECTORY" as well as just leaving it outside of any folders. I can access it through both ways in "Utility" but when I click it nothing happens. It just sends me back to the main menu.

Now when I downloaded the file and zipped them the unzipped folder contained two files, install_libs. gpu, and install_libs.tar, I through both on to the SD card, is that all that's needed? Clicking the .tar file brings me WinZip and it shows there are files within it but it won't let me unzip those either.

What's the deal?

Copy those files onto a SD card in the root, put the SD card into your gp2x, go to Utilities, select SD card, then run the only file that shows up. That's all.

What's the root?
Root is the 'base' of your SD-card, outside any folders. You should know nothing really seems to happen when you install SDL, the screen just goes black for a while.

Maybe you should try a simple SDL game first to see if that works. If that works SDL is properly installed and you need to look at how you installed the emulator instead.

Whoa, didn't know there was another one out there (which is obviously made by you) and thanks man cause it's great. I put it on and it was ready to go, talk about easy. I got a question for you though, is there any volume control on it? Also if I save state should I create a certain folder? I tried saving a state in Earthbound but was unable to retreave it.
