I think this fonction is needing too much CPU and the image quality is not good with 1.5 ratio stetching
Chui : plz remove this function and add a 144Mhz mode 'coz all the GP32 cant go higher....(just remove the 100mhz)

The source is available - why not have a look yourself, since I'm guessing it'd be a matter of simply searching through for the text associated with the menu and changing the wording along with the HEX vaue the the CPU were set to. And Ratio deletion is prolly just a matter of commenting some stuff.

I'm not a coder, but I can't believe its something that'd be *really* hard to change...

I talked to Chui a couple of days ago, and he's pretty busy on another project right now.

However, if he's released the source code for VBA32, I'd be more than happy to do these changes. I was a little annoyed with the widescreen stretching myself. ;)

would be nice unit3...
please add also a 150 option for some of us...

and by the way, make it full speed :p

Ive found the source code, where the CPUspeed is set but I dont understand the 2nd parameter....(in hexa) :(
for the full speed I dont its possible for now ;) (lol) but without stretching I think it should be faster....
Maybe the best is to replace 100 & 120 MHz 144 & 150
I really think that for emuling a GBA
133 - 144 - 150 - 156 - 166 is better than
100 - 120 - 133 - 156 - 166...
PLZ make this for the community :)
see you ;)

i think chui is working on fSNES together with ryleh. he is writing the cpu core .. good luck u 2.

ARE YOU KIDDING US?
if not: ooooh yeaaaaAH!!!!!!!!!!
if yes: fuck off :D

edit : oh i just saw the think.. but anyway - if its true it would be so damn great

I'd really appeciate more info on this (well I'll try to get some from rlyeh) as I heard rlyeh was working on fSNES, and that Chui was going to add SNES support to LJGP, but not that this was a combined effort. Good! As long as the end product is sound, it makes no sense for people to duplicate their efforts.

I asked rlyeh some weeks ago about fsnes32 and he answered me that he was working on it but no more... Dont know whats up now

The screen stretching in VBA32 is done with ASM, so any speed increase from turning it off would be pretty negligible..

Vollgasasi: Just spoke to Rlyeh. They were going to write a SNES emu together (with Chui writing a 65c816 core in ASM and Rlyeh integrating it into Snes9x), but then Chui started VBA32 and Rlyeh started fGB32. Currently Rlyeh is finishing off fMSX and fCOL and working on fZX, with Chui working on Vordon (looks like an SDL remake of another game, look for it on Sourceforge). While fGEN is marked for some improvements, nothing on the SNES front from these two.

That said, another SNES emulator is under development. Take a guess at who's coding it...

I've been trying to compile the source code but it just doesnt work for me. I am using the tools on debian linux. I can only compile it after adding an empty memory.h in the source directory but the resulting fxe crashes in the menu to load the rom. At a location which is just a standard call to find the number of directory entries. Can anyone tell me why? Is it a problem with the setup of my tools? ???

ya.. the email i received from ryleh .. that was 1 month ago i think. he said that he and chui were working together on the snes emu. dunno what he's up to now. i hope we'll see a snes emu asap ;) i believe in them.

Don't get your hopes up, last I heard Chui was working on an old game port. It's a neat game, but it's not an SNES emu. ;)
