Nintendo's new gameboy!....sorta...

Worst, idea, ever.... (Next to the president of nintendo saying online play is a fad)
He said that? When was this? Was he only talking about console online play or online play period?

But I agree, I see no practicality to having two screens on any device, unless it was diagnostical.

At least it will be a pain to emulate on another handheld system

The concept is diffrent at least, it be difficult to port games to other systems and visa versa which in effect could be a bad thing..

If you look at how many console users there are and how many of them are online, as well as the number of titles that support proper online play, it is.

two screens? why dont they just take one screen and make it twice that wide?
but the idea of two individual processors and up to 128MB... :) MORE POWERRR

nintendo have made dual screen handhelds before... i had junior donkey kong 2 and it was pretty cool jumping mario off the top of the bottom screen and seeing him pop up on the bottom of the top.

It sounds like quite a good idea to me ;) , if anything because its different. If its true, it will at least add some extra interest into the handheld market......... I'm looking forward to E3 now.

well it sounds interesting to me. i just need to see what it looks like, what power it has, what media it uses etc:

but in general i can't wait!!!!!!!!

sask

just to let you all know :

THIS IS NOT THE NEW GAMEBOY!!! (nintendo said this in another press release)... this thing is a completly new "konsole"... (and no, its not gc2 too!)

I doubt this will come to the US, i bet its only released in Japan, regardless, this sounds like the worst idea ever, but I guess we'll have to see when its released.

If anybody is going to innovate and try something new in this industry, it will always be Nintendo.

Just like with the N64 controller and the analogue stick, as soon as pictures and details emerged Sega and Sony both announced their own analogue controllers. This is just a single example.

sounds sorta skeptical but why waste another 3-inch screen for secondary use. maybe it will be powerful enouf to play n64 or even gamecube. and if it still keeps the $100 pricetag than i think this will easily beat sony's psp.
