    Request for Documentation

That is exactly what I needed, thank you very much. Strangely enough, I did know that volume + and - brought up the menu, because there was a little information box when I started the native port of gpfce that said that "you have to push both buttons to get into the menu, and they've been...

    Request for Documentation

Having become frustrated with the native gpfce's tearing, I was pointed to the GINGE wrapped one: http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/pandora.cgi?0,0,0,0,71,224 And now what? There's no documentation in the thing (It neither has a Y button in minimenu nor documentation in the full gui). What...

    Massive Battery Drain?

I didn't turn it off this morning. Another hour after it said 68%, it now says 65%. going from 32% in an hour to 3% in an hour (asleep) seems likely to be some sort of battery gauge issue, rather than a power issue. Am I correct in thinking that?

    Massive Battery Drain?

I think I have some sort of battery problem. In the morning, I'll play with my pandora for a few minutes, go have breakfast, then put it in low power mode, unplug it and head to work. When I get to the office, I do a handful of morning things, and about an hour after getting to the office...

LIttle help for a new pandora user?

I'm not entirely positive, but having read up on it, snes9x4p does have some form of vsync, but it only works in certain video modes. frameskip has to be off, so frameskip mode has to be ?/1, rather than ?/2 or auto. For whatever reason, I can tell a major difference between 50/1 and 60/1 -...

LIttle help for a new pandora user?

That is abjectly surreal. It works. I can't imagine why a zipped rom works and the bare SMC does not, but it seems to work quite well. Speeds are good, and the emulation is again, gorgeous. Now if anyone has any ideas for getting rid of that screen tearing...

LIttle help for a new pandora user?

I just got my Pandora, and it's pretty spiffy. What works, works pretty well. PicoDrive is truly phenomenal in every way - even 32x games play smoothly and clearly. Gnuboy isn't perfect as far as emulator features, but as far as simple gameplay goes, it's dead on and pixel perfect. GPFCE...

    The best web browser?

Knowing what I do of Craig, I can safely say that there are two in martini.

    OP community's Big Play

That's what I was trying to say, and I appreciate you saying it more effectively than I was able to. The idea was that no art exists in a vacuum - even the most off the wall, bizarre game concept being produced today owes something to some of the foundational games, which is what I'm looking...

    OP community's Big Play

Every now and then, people come up with a list of media that they think should be experienced - books one needs to read to be "well read", or movies that are cinematic milestones, or so on. The BBC had the "Big Read" : http://www.bbc.co.uk/arts/bigread/top100.shtml The AFI did the 100 years...

    Gots my Email

I saw the wiki already, but thank you for the link. I was hoping to get some of the lucky owners to come in and say, "This has worked great for me, while that one goes faster, it loses all its savestates" or something like that. anyone have some first hand experience?

    Gots my Email

I got my shipping email earlier today. And so now I plan to set up my SD cards so that all I'll have to do is plug them in and go. (following an appropriate charging time, of course) But - I went to the file archive, and had no idea what emulators, for instance, are working, or the best, or...

Halloween Retro Games "Playlist" - PSX and earlier

A true Halloween game I've got is "Jack Bros" for the virtual boy. Yes, really. It's the first MegaTen game to be officially translated into english, I believe. And it's literally about Halloween. On Halloween, the Jack Brothers go play in the human world. But they lose track of time, and...

    New Icontrolpad Pictures

UNLESS you don't ship a d*n one of those ICPs until after you've shipped the whole first batch of Pandoras, you're stealing them from OUR two year old orders to make new things - things that haven't been already paid for for the last two years. I don't care if it's a separate order: That...

Tell Us Non-Amiga Guys What The Best Of Amiga Are :)

So, I found this site (4chan warning, though the memes are kept to a minimum): http://vsrecommendedgames.wikia.com and it's got quite good lists for : Xbox 360, DS, Wii, Arcade, PlayStation 3, iPhone, PlayStation Portable, Xbox, Nintendo 64, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Color, SNES...

Tell Us Non-Snes Guys What The Best Of Snes Are :)

FAIR WARNING: This is a collaborative work from 4chan. If you don't know what that means, you may want to skip it. That said, it's totally worth a look through, and the memes aren't as ubiquitous as they might be... http://vsrecommendedgames.wikia.com/wiki/SNES The other generation lists are...

    How Many In Total?

I can understand the frustrations in spending days doing labels/ adhesive, etc. However: based on previous performance, it's a reasonable concern to have that having the case factory do some work will end up saving you a handful of days of assembly by costing a month's delay at the case...

    Questions: A Small List

Strangely enough, as far as actual pixels go, the SNES is 8:7 - (256/224 or rarely 512/448) The NES was (in hardware) 16:15, as it ran at 256/240. (North American, at least, but then it overscanned so you got an effective 256/224) Of course, that's ignoring TV pixel shape, etc, etc, etc, but in...

    Snes9X4D4P

I don't honestly know what the spec is - not that I care too much, either. I only mention it because the youtube video says it's at 500, and I was curious.

also, I downloaded the pnd... it seems I was number one, since the counter went from 0-1 when I did it. sorry, there's something in my eye.... edit: it seems the pxml has the cpu set to 600. is that right?
