Thats right, wouldnt an emulator for java based phone games be nice?
And another one for the Symbian OS based ones?

Would that be possible?

I dont know if the GP32 have enough power to emulate a sybian OS
(the NGAGE is running @ 100MHz so even @ 166MHz it would be hard to emulate)
Maybe that would be cool

see you ;)

and what about those mophun games the sony ericsson mobiles run?

As far as I know, mophun is even more closed source than anything else mobile phone related, which makes it
damn hard to port/adapt it to any other platform. I once read about how to become a mophun developer, you'll need to come up with a good idea, and the makers of mophun decide if the idea is good enough. Then, you'll need to pay a lot of money for the sdk and development environment. After developing your game, they'll check out the quality of the game and ask for even more money, and so on...
It's just too closed source to work with on any other platform.
Anyway, most midlet/mophun/symbian stuff sucks very hard, so why bother doing an emulator for it?

your are certainly right about that, theres just one very good arcanoid clone called syndroid that id really like to play!

its free to develop mophungames, but you cant play them on your phone unless you become a certified developer, to become that they want a demo of a game or something... you can get the SDK here: www.mophun.com
