Is there a good budget Android tablet (10") that has a good screen? You should be able to use it outside.

Competition with a reasonable screen: Zenithink-C91upgrade http://forums.whirlp...archive/1893349

So should have a better screen and about the same price.

I have looked a bit, and for now I think the C91 is probably the best buy. Might be missing one though, there are a lot of tablets around ;)

Yes, a great tablet that I might buy for myself. I actually prefer 7" tablets but I am looking for a non-tech friend that likes to have a bigger screen. He is going to use it mainly for browsing the web.

I lent him my 7" tablet for 2 weeks and he was complaining about the small size.

So it needs to be 10". I think the Zenithink-C91upgrade is a pretty decent tablet for its price, but I was hoping for something similar with a screen you can use outside.

Thanks but that is 7" again. Looking for 10" and needs to be available as well...

You can get a refurbished hp touchpad for $210 on ebay then put CyanogenMod 9 on it. Newegg had some a while back but they are out of stock.

Great tablet, android port is really mature runs perfectly. 1.2GHz dual core that you can overlcock to 1.8 and 1GB of ram.

10" IPS display 1024x768, basically the same as the 1st and 2nd get iPad.

Bluetooth, wifi, micro usb that does otg with a hub, microphone, front facing camera, 16GB of internal storage, and good (8+hr use/ 4 day standby) battery life.

I've had mine for about 6 months (bought it refurbished, 0 problems) and I love it. Flashing android on it is super easy and you still retain the original WebOs operating system.

Where you based?

I would recommend the Aoson/Wopad M12

http://www.merimobiles.com/Wopad_Aoson_M12_9_7inch_1GB_RAM_1024_768_4_3_p/meri0704.htm

or the newer version of it, the M19

I have the M12, was my first tablet, I got it from those Merimobiles guys, who are in Canada but get all the Chinese tablets/tech.

They shipped to me in the UK and it was pretty cheap all in all.

The screen is a 9.7" with IPS so you get a great image no matter what angle you looking at it from. Nice and bright.

It's a metal body so not the lightest tablet, but feels sturdy.

I keep an eye on the Pandawill forum for firmware updates, a guy called Astroknight makes some great custom ones which run nice, though no sign of ICS for this yet that I'm aware of.

For cheap and good screen though, this is my recommendation

Aoson/Wopad does indeed look like a nice tablet for a low price. Unfortunately not available in the

Netherlands. Same applies to the hp touchpad and when it is available the price is too high.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is not a budget tablet.

My non-tech friend is going to buy the Zenithink-C91upgrade. It is a decent tablet for a low price and it is available in the Netherlands. I have warned him it will probably not be possible to use it outside.

Another to consider might be the soon-come Archos 97 Carbon.

...Released later this month, in the UK, not sure about Netherlands.

Aimed to rival the Nexus 7

£219

Released with ICS though

9.7" screen

IPS screen

5 point multi touch

618g weight

11.4mm thick

1GHz

1GB RAM

Check it out here

I give my reasons.
