SUMMARY is here: http://www.codejedi.com/cgi-bin/blog.cgi/e....blog?seemore=y

As you may have noticed, I'm posting my requests for best-ofs in pairs; this one is tougher though, since theres been no UAE for the GP32 yet.. but I expect theres a goodly pile of Amiga nuts here.

(My previous lists were for C64, Atari ST, and Movie/Hero/Homage games. I can post links if you like.)

Let me start..

Dungeon Master (also on the ST) - RPG
Captive (also on the ST) - RPG
Liberator - Captive 2 - RPG
Civilization - strategy
Colonization - strategy

Educate us.. what are the best Amiga games :)

The game I played most when at university was Xtreme Racing. It was basically Mario Kart but on the Amiga. AGA only and I had an accelerator and more ram in my 1200 which it really needed but it was amazing. You could do 4 player split screen at a struggle but 2 player was perfect. There was a track editor so lots of tracks got made and I even had a website for it sigh. It was a great moment when UAE finally managed to run it smoothly when they updated the cpu core!

Other than that, as craig said, so many other good games, where do you start and even thinking about it makes me annoyed at how Comodore screwed up!

Anything by team 17, bitmap brothers. I mean the alien breed games, speedball, chaos engine 1 oh my im shaking just thinking about them running on a gp2x. The pinball games too, I bought pinball dreams for my gp32 because it was so good on the amiga

Knights of the sky. Wicked WW1 flight sim. Superb in it's day and would still be fun now especially on a hand held :)

The seminal E L I T E which is excellent on the miggy.

Frontier. Excellent but a little slow on a 500.

Speedball 2. Awesome future sport game. The miggy version is the best of all the versions I've played.

Katakis. Excellent shoot 'em up.

Battle Squadron. Excellent vertical scroller shoot 'em up. Nice on DRMD too.

Obviously the earlier scumm games. Monkey Island 1&2 etc.

Battle Isle. Excellent hex based strategy game. Similar to Military Madness on the PC engine but better.

Some more good'uns:

All Terain Racing
Battle Squadron
Bob's Bad Day
Crazy Sue
Disposable Hero
Fuzzball
Ilyad
Jim Power
Leander
Mean Arenas
Shadow Of The Beast 3
Soccer Kid
Super Obliteration
Super Twintris
Vroom
Yo! Joe
Zool 2 (much better than Zool)

I'm curious:

Do you like American Football sports games?
Have you played Gridiron?

Opinion?
No and No? ;)

Totally agree with Craigx, theres too many to list. I loved my Amiga so much I could never bear to sell it ! Still have it to this day along with a CD32, for my kids to play with :) .

Most of these were on other platforms too (specifically the ST ;)), but I only had an A500, so I had to play the Amiga versions!

Bloodwych
Shadow Warriors
Cadaver
Forgotten Worlds
Stunt Car Racer
Xenon 2
Magic Pockets
Gods

Thanks to you skeezix, I'm playing most of them as ST versions on my GP32 :)

Walker
Alien Breed/Tower Assault
Battle Isle (93' "Moon of Kronos" was the best)
Anything by the Bitmap Brothers
Cannon Fodder.

God theres loads :D

Glad to see SWIV got a mention earlier - that brings back memories of playing it all night when the first Gulf War kicked off...

[Blimey - that makes me sound like some kind of warmonger...]
