EDIT: anyone interested in building the battery?

Thanks! Nothing we don't already know but its good to see the official blog gets updated. LOL, Make your own battery? Heh, that feels like the OP team is trying to get the community busy while they finish the Pandora. :p

"Just download the wrapping here, print it (300dpi), cut it and fold it where the small lines are. Glue the overlapping edges... and you're ready.
Feel free to post pictures of your batteries on the boards.

Now, that's it for today, more news when the time comes :)"
that kind of stuff is what makes me lol about our obsessive community

In the Heroes of Might and Magic II video, what platform is being emulated? Win95? 68K Mac? PPC?

It's not actually emulation, it's running courtesy of an open source interpreter called fheroes2. Similar to the way SCUMMVM works. :)

EDIT: and us who lurk the forums.

At least it does exactly what many people have been clamoring for, they want to know exactly what happened and where we are on the road map so they can see the finishline that Craig and ED see so clearly. Not everyone reads the forums clearly, and the few that come here (and arent regulars) ask questions no one wants to answer because they've been answered a dozen times already just reminding people how long they've been waiting.

Batteries are just about ready, the boards are ordered, almost all the peices of the case that have been confirmed are finally in whiel only a few more to go, the clear case that should help finalize the last bits of the case will be ready soon and then THOSE parts will be ready shortly after hopefully. After that we just need to wait for the keymats to be ready to stick in there. Obviously I'm not an expert but they really make it sound like we could be within 45 to 60 days of seeing a real live consumer Pandora.

Here you go. I wouldn't call it an obsession on my part. More like one more thing to test. :)

Is... that really... how it... should look?

Edit: Oh wait... that's how it will look after the stress test... or after the first two months, 1440 hours.

well, not with paper flaps and tape everywhere no

It's just a printout from my printer. The real label will be a glossy, sticky sheet that wraps around the battery.

Sorry, my obsession has been temporarily quelled by the cardboard Pandora I made.

Hahaha, of course I know that :p ,
but can you give us an idea of how big(or small) it is?

Edit: @WizardStan: But wouldn't your Cardboard Pandora require a Cardboard Battery? :)

Oh, maybe we should cancel the battery production and put a "Do not eat" sign on it then. That would add a delay though...

Naaaaah, just kidding :D
