Here is a package of GNUGo bundled with the frontend ccGO.

ccGo (V0.3.6.4):

GNUGo (V3.8):

Get the PND here:

any chance this will work over wifi or bluetooth against another pandora user either directly or through the gnugo servers? My buddy is going to be stoked about this one, thanks!

I myself don't play this game. I don't even know how to play it. But these are things, why I put this into Betatesting. So someone can try out. what works and what doesn't.

Yay! Thanks, mcobit. Could you also port Go Grinder and some SGF readers like CGoban and PANDA-glGo (CGoban connects to KGS, and glGo connects to IGS, the 2 major Go Servers)?

Sources:
Go Grinder: http://gogrinder.sourceforge.net/
CGoban: http://cgoban1.sourceforge.net/

Info:
glGo: http://senseis.xmp.net/?GlGo

EDIT: I just noticed that ccGo apparently can open SGFs, however CGoban would still be appreciated because it can connect to KGS.

I can confirm that it connects to the server and that I was able to start a game with someone online. very cool, I might actually get some experience with the game now and not have to use a 8 stone handicap against my buddy. :)

This is a very good place to start: http://senseis.xmp.net

Yes, IGS should be possible with ccGO. CGoban would be something to look into. But GlGo is not trivial because it needs opengl.

Edit: Go Grinder is java, so it could run out of the box. Give it a try yourself. Just install wizardstans java.pnd, extract to a folder and run with "java -jar foobar"

Thanks, it would be great to be able to connect to KGS, and I'll check about Go Grinder when I get my replacement Pandora. :)

I just updated the file at the archives. It should be called only go.pnd from now on. ED has to approve it. If he did this, You can try the new version with cgoban included.

Edit: Updated now!
