Hi Guys!

I got my Pandora yesterday, but when I start Xfce there is the following message:

"Could not look up internet address for xxx Pandora

This will prevent Xfce from operating correctly.

It may be possible to correct the problem by adding xxx Pandora to the file /etc/hosts on your system."

When I continue, the system doesn`t work correctly (error when I start the browser, no installing, no normal shutdown,...)

MiniMenu works correctly.

But when I try to switch from Xfce to MiniMenu I get the following error:

"Failed to receive a reply from the session manager

Session manager must be in idle state when requesting a shutdown"

What shall I do?

The first-run wizard either did not run correctly, or the name you gave your Pandora contains an invalid character. Which not a game-breaker this will prevent some Internet applications from running properly. I suggest reflashing.

Reflashing may be a bit overkill (though would certainly fix it). What name did you give your pandora? What are the contents of the files /etc/hosts and /etc/hostname?

^ This has typically been a symptom of a bad flash, though, in fairness. :p

Or spaces in the name when filling out the first boot wizard.
