I have downloaded what I understand that I need and have everything in place. I have a disk image with Mac OS 7.5.3 installed on it and a Quadra 650 ROM file.

I put them in the same directory as the BasiliskII executable file and even renamed the disk image and rom to match the pref files like I read in another post in this board (320x240, 320x240.rom, and 320x240.prefs) and when I run BasiliskII, I am asked to select a prefs file, so I select 320x240.prefs and only get a black screen. What am I doing wrong?

I am using firmware version 3.0.0 if that helps.

Thanks,

you need to rename your rom file "rom" and the disk image "disk.dsk"

When I rename the rom file to "ROM" and disk image to "disk.dsk", it loads the rom successfully. However, I get the icon showing a disk with a flashing "?" indicating that it does not see a bootable disk. Are you sure I am supposed to name the disk image "disk.dsk"?

You were a big help. I think I'll create a youtube vid to provide a detailed guide to others trying to do this. What do you think?
